Renoirs

Hey everyone,

OK, so who would not love to have a Renoir in their art collection, I know I would, so I have created a set for you called "Renoirs".  There are a total of nine paintings in this set, I have only shown two in my image as I did not want to loose the detail on them.  These are framed with a Louis XV frame, and have two colour channels (inner and outer frame).

Pierre-Auguste Renoir (184 - 1919) was a French artist who was a leading painter in the development of the Impressionist style.  As a celebrator of beauty, and especially feminine sensuality, it has been said the "Renoir is the final representative of a tradition which runs directly from Rubens to Watteau.

These are two tile paintings and are base game compatible.

Hope you like!

Georges Seurat

Hi all,

Today I have another request from my request page for some Seurat paintings.  This is a set of nine paintings that are two tile in size.

Georges Pierre Seurat (1859 - 1891) was a French Post-Impressionist painter and draftsman.  He is noted for his innovative use of drawing media and for devising the technique of painting known as pointillism.  His large-scale work "A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte" altered the direction of modern art by initiating Neo-Impressionism. It is on of the icons of late 19th century painting.

Seurat died in Paris on March 29, 1891 at the age young age of 31, the cause  of death is uncertain.

These are base game compatible.

As always, I hope you enjoy!

Elsa Beskow

Hi everyone,

Today I have a set of children's illustrations by Elsa Beskow.  This was a request from my request page.

Elsa Beskow (1874 - 1953) was a Swedish author and illustrator of children's books.  Among her better know books are:

  • Tale of the Little Little Old Woman
  • Aunt Green, Aunt Brown and Aunt Lavender
  • The Sun Egg
  • Ollie's Ski Trip
  • Children of the Forest
  • Peter in Blueberry Land
  • Woody, Hazel and Little Pip

In 1894 Beskow started to contribute to the children's magazine Jultomten.  Overall, she would publish some forty books with her own text and images.  Beskow frequently combined reality with elements from the fairy tale world.  She became one of the most well know of all Swedish children's book artists.  Many of her books became classic and are continually reprinted.

This is a set of nine recolors, and are two tile in size.

Hope you enjoy!
